First step of Establishment: East-West University is one of the leading private universities of Bangladesh. The university was established to create the demand for higher education to the students who were unable to go abroad. This university has become popular since it has started the programs. The university is a contribution of some philanthropists. Educationalists thought that as much number of private universities will expand, the quality of the students will improve. Taking this vision upfront, East-West University started to recruit students in 1996. After the revolution of private university, this particular university placed in first place among them. Overall third place in the rank of universities of Bangladesh.
Administration Structure: President is the chancellor of East-West University. But it is directed by the Vice Chancellor. The teachers and students are much friendlier in here. Staffs are here to serve educational helps among the students. There are heads of every departments. They play the role of mentors for own faculty. A medical person is also included among the administration department.
Location of Campus: East-West University building is situated near the Hatirjheel of Dhaka city. It is one of the best advanced campuses of Bangladesh. Technological improvements are praiseworthy. Even with a simple connection to internet is available in campus by Wi-Fi.

Admission and Privileges: Getting admission in East-West University is not a simple term. A test
is held to take only qualified students for undergraduate programs. The selection board thinks upon the grade point average as well as the result in test. For admission in postgraduate programs, some important criteria are needed to be done. There is also the chance of completing research under a professor. For the purpose, one must qualify the choice of the teacher.
